Hempadur Zinc 17360 Coated Steel Plate
We are pleased to announce that we have successfully delivered a batch of ASTM A36 carbon steel plates for crude oil storage tank construction. This batch of steel plates’ surface is coated with Hempadur Zinc 17360 zinc-rich epoxy primer to play an anti-corrosion role.
What is Zinc-rich Epoxy Primer?
Zinc-rich epoxy primer is a special coating composed of epoxy resin and zinc powder as the primary raw materials, with thickeners, fillers, additives, solvents, etc.
Applications:
It is mainly used to protect metal surfaces such as steel pipes, storage tanks, steel structures, and containers from rust and corrosion.
It is also suitable for shipbuilding, bridges, offshore oil drilling platforms, port facilities, and chemical equipment.

Features:
Excellent anti-corrosion performance, strong adhesion, high zinc powder content in the paint film, cathodic protection, and outstanding water resistance.
Fast drying, strong adhesion, good impact resistance, wear resistance, gas cutting and weldability.
High-temperature resistance, no effect on welding performance, high adhesion, good mechanical properties.
Composition:
It mainly comprises epoxy resin, zinc powder, special resin (sometimes polyamide resin), additives and solvents.
Technical Indicators:
Parameters such as solid content, coating interval, coating area, and coating rate vary according to the specific product but usually have a higher solid content and coating rate.
The paint film is smooth, the color meets the standard sample, the drying time is short, the pencil hardness is high, and the adhesion is strong.
